I’m a twenty-something graduate trying to make my way toward a doctorate in English. Freshly graduated from a Master of Arts in English program, I created this blog to feed my Early Modern obsessions.
My hope is that this blog will function as a commonplace book where I can scribble notes on early modern celebrities and historical oddities, engage in a bit of bard idolatry, and discuss scholarly criticism and Renaissance texts. What I’m trying to create here is a space where the Renaissance becomes real, fleshed out and palpable for anyone with an interest in the Renaissance.
I hope this blog will be a place where the Renaissance regains its magic for scholars and novice enthusiasts. More than this, my goal for RenObsessed is to generate open, casual conversation that will make Renaissance nerds out of techies, gamers, and scholars alike.
